Join Open City Friends for this tour of St Pancras Clocktower and Chambers from one of the residents.
Designed by George Gilbert Scott, St Pancras Chambers is today’s name for what opened in 1873 as the Midland Grand Hotel. Part of the Chambers is the modern St Pancras Renaissance Hotel operated by Marriott. We should have the chance to visit the grand staircase up which early hotel visitors would have ascended and around which many modern film shoots have taken place. The rest of the building is occupied by apartments and our one-hour tour will be given by one of its residents, including the famously long hotel corridors and with panoramic views of the station and surrounding area. The tour will conclude in the apartment beneath the famed St Pancras Clocktower itself.
This tour will take place on Wednesday 23 April at 1pm and will last approximately 1 hour
